Product Manager

The Product Manager will be responsible for the following duties:

  • MANAGING STOCK LEVELS

    We operate computer software for managing all jobs and stock. You will be required to manage all stock by doing stock takes and ordering products both from local suppliers and our factories in China.

  • IMPORTING

    All of our Bamboo materials are sourced from China. We have an office in china with a team of Chinese nationals that co ordinate the shipping, inspection and supply of our materials. They are the go between us and the factory. Correct management of this relationship is essential for the smooth running of this department. You will need to order and co ordinate shipping containers and manage relationships with customs brokers, transport companies, customs and quarantine services.

  • PREPARING QUOTES

    All quotes are prepared on our custom-built software. All house plans and in home quotes are measured manually and require very good attention to detail. All documentation must be correctly filled in for the smooth running of the installation.

  • PACKING OF JOGS

    You will needed to print picking lists based on the client’s quotes and pack the relevant materials on to pallets. Once pallets are packed they are to be labels correctly with the client’s details. All materials should be packed several days prior to installation.

  • ORGANISING DELIVERIES

    All goods are sent out prior to the job commencement date. We have a dedicated delivery service comprising truck, van and one full time employee. He is able to complete most installations on his own but will regularly need a hand with difficult jobs or if time has become tight.

  • FIELD SUPPORT

    Often the installation teams require additional stock on site, it is your responsibility to ensure that job flows are not inhibited and delays do not occur due to stock shortage. Sometimes simply the product needs to be replaced due to incorrect colour, damage or incorrectly packed.

  • CORRESPONDENCE WITH CHINA

    You will need to keep in constant email and verbal contact with our China office on matters to do with quality and supply. You do not need to speak Chinese, but you will need to be a good listener and communicator.

  • EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE

    You will be responsible for ensuring that maintenance schedule for company vehicles are kept up to date and all equipment is kept in good working order and fully stocked. Company forklift must be kept in complete working order at all times.

  • ORGANISING THE WAREHOUSE

    The warehouse needs to be constantly kept in a safe, functional and tidy condition at all times.

  • REPORTING QUALITY ISSUES TO CHINA

    The factory needs constant feed back from us as to the exacting standards that we ask. This needs to be reported on a weekly basis. This particular role will require regular contact with our Chinese staff to ensure that there the product is maintained at optimum quality at all times.

  • SHIPPING CONTAINER UNPACK

    You will need to organise the release and delivery of the container from the wharf in Fremantle to be delivered to Osborne Park. You will be required to unpack containers when they arrive and pack all new goods into the warehouse in their correct locations. You will also need to check off all incoming stock against the packing list that is sent with the goods.

  • FLOOR PREPARATION WORK

    At times, you will need to carry out and supervise some floor preparation work. This work could include

    • Applying a moisture barrier.
    • Moisture testing.
    • Sanding concrete slabs.
    • Carpet removal
    • Moving Furniture
  • INSPECTING JOB SITE PRIOR TO AND POST INSTALLATION

    It is necessary for job sites to be inspected prior to installation. You will be required to visit job sites to make sure that the floor is ready for installation. You will be required to perform moisture tests on concrete slabs to determine if a moisture barrier is required or not. You will need to work in conjunction with different building firms and other trades to organise when job sites will be ready for installation.

  • SALES ASSISTANCE

    All members of our team are trained in sales. It is not uncommon for you to answer sales enquiries on the phone and to do showroom presentations.

All aspects of the job to be carried out as per Bamboozle Systems and Procedures. You will also be required to have a basic understanding of many other aspects of Bamboozle Systems and Procedures and general daily operations.
